“ The Secrets Women Share”
So, after countless lunch dates with my Besties, I created this artwork that captures the pure joy and laughter that women share! It’s all about celebrating our unique personalities and expressions of one another!
From the left, we’ve got the classic “Yea right, haha”, the thoughtful “Hummm”, and, well, let’s just say the “I don’t give a sh*t!” moment. LOL, it’s just so relatable!
And those steps on the right? They represent the valuable life lessons we learn from our Besties along the way. It’s like a little journey of wisdom, served with a side of friendship and giggles.
Oh, and fun fact – this is the eighth painting in my Relax series, and it’s been a cool seven years since I added to it. Time flies when you’re having fun!

Christine and her 4 generations of family have been part of the Saranac Lake region since 1952. She has been an oil, acrylic and watercolor painter for more than 25 years. She recently created a series called ; “Great Lines”, a reinvention of sculpted plaster with pallet knifes on 2-D art in 3- dimensions. The process came to her one night while sleeping . “The dream was more about how the paint/stain rolled off a raised surface creating lighter areas and a puddling effect where the surface was flat or carved low.” She represents both Plein Air and Outside Studio works with her medium in Sepia tones. 14 of her 21 new artworks will be on display, including her 4ftx2.5ft “Caught One” inspired by the upper Saranac Locks.

Christine Dekkers is best known for her Hancock Building and Redline loop series, depicting large (8ftx6ft) abstract representations of city of Chicago's energy. This unique style was developed by her experimentation with unconventional painting utensils and remains one of her favorite collections. She is a multi medium artist ( Oil/Acrylics, Watercolor, Plaster 2-D paintings and Digital/Photography) Her ideation is usually first conceived in drawing vignettes and then designed digitally. The Cape Coral Art League Presents : Christine Dekkers Our artist of the month at the Cape Coral Art League. She will feature The Hancock, one of her largest impressionistic paintings at 6ft x 8ft of the Hancock building in Chicago. She was inspired by its architecture having the support structure on the outside of the building. It is to scale and took more than 4 months to complete. Her other artworks will be Plein Air of our local area. She will also have 3 new Abstract painted artworks based on topography with the longitude and latitude readings in our MEDIA MIX Gallery show.

First Place Winner BB8 Christine Dekkers Designs, for the FAA contest "Star Wars". Painting, acrylic and oil, BB-8 or Beebee-Ate is a droid character in the Star Wars franchise, first appearing in the 2015 film Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Spherical with a free-moving domed head, BB-8 is portrayed by both a rod puppet and a remote-controlled robotic unit.
