This is my dad on his swan song ski trip to St. Moritz Switzerland this year. He is 73 and still skiing with style. This style of skiing was very popular from the 1950-1980 before shape skies. The straight skies allowed the skier to have their feet together and just move their hips back and forth on the mountain. All of the younger skiers in the group wanted to ski like dear ole Dad!!! you go DAD!

NICE! Love the thick blobs of paint texture in the snow. Are the shadows from the snow texture caused by your lighting when you photographed? Otherwise they do not match the light source direction for the shadow of the figure Bu wait, from the shortness of his shadow the sun could be high in the mid-day and that would be the explanation.Call me over analytic! You captured the gesture in the figure so well I can FEEL his body skiing.
Christine Dekkers replied:
LOL! you are right Bob! I may need to retake the photo because it did add shadows to the paint. I left it that way because it like it! However the body and pole shadows match the direction. Thanks! smiles Christine
